![]() MONDAY, DECEMBER 27, 2021 Friends, we have made it. It's the last newsletter of 2021. Can you believe it's almost 2022? Time flies when you're in a constant state of anxiety, I guess.
In the celebrity world, we've seen a lot of ups and downs. We've seen new couples get together, like Kourtney and Travis; Megan Fox and MGK; and of course, Kim and Pete. (We've also seen those couples engage in some serious PDA.) We've seen what we thought were steady couples call it quits. Kim and Kanye and Shawn and Camila, I'm looking at you. And plenty of celebs welcomed little ones into the world: Olivia Munn and John Mulaney, Emrata and Sebastian Bear-McClard, Aaron Carter and Melanie Martin (yup, he's a dad), to name a few.
What will next year bring? Well, I don't want to speak anything bad into existence, so I won't speculate too much, but rest assured there will be plenty of celebrity drama to come.
And speaking of things to come, we want to hear from you about what you'd like to see in this newsletter. Take our survey here.
I'll close this out just by saying, thanks for reading this twice a week! It's been an honor and a privilege. See ya on the flip side!
READ THIS Meghan and Harry Reveal Lilibet's First Photo BY SARA LEVINE ![]()
Images: Dia Dipasupil/Getty Images All right, people, let's close out the year with a little bit of, dare I say, wholesome news. Meghan Markle and Harry (does he have a last name? Don't answer that) released their annual holiday card, and as you can expect, it's precious.
This year's card is special because it contains the first photo of their daughter, Lilibet Diana. Lilibet was born on June 4, for those of you who need a refresher (me). Honestly, what is time? That feels like it was both yesterday and last year.
Archie also makes an appearance in the card, and I have to love that this 2-year-old is wearing jeans and a button-down when I, a 30-year-old, haven't even looked at my jeans drawer since February 2020.
In the card, Harry is holding little Archie, and Meghan is raising a smiling Lilibet into the air. The message on the card reads, "This year, 2021, we welcomed our daughter, Lilibet, to the world. Archie made us a 'Mama' and a 'Papa', and Lili made us a family. As we look forward to 2022, we have made donations on your behalf to several organizations that honor and protect families – from those being relocated from Afghanistan, to American families in need of paid parental leave."
Be extremely cute, have a much-anticipated reveal, and advocate for a good cause? Your family's forced holiday card could never. And That's A F*cking Wrap: Pop Cuture Hot Takes Of 2021
Following last week’s v controversial debate, Sami, Aleen, and Jordana revisit the OG Sex and the City TV show. Yes, it really is as good as you remember and no, it’s actually not cheesy. The trio then get into an ultimate recap of 2021 and discuss all the important things. You know, best Bravo moments of the year—Erika Jayne or Jen Shah?—whether or not Squid Game deserves the spot of top TV show, and was Olivia Rodrigo’s "Drivers License" song really that big of a deal—or are we just millennials? After delving deep into 2021’s pop culture past, they round off the show with a game that tests how well they kept tabs. Like, remember when wild hogs stole Shakira’s purse? Yeah, they forgot about that too. Finally, Sami shares her go-to research method for digging into celeb tea—think, JB and Selena’s relationship, Kim Cattrall and SJP’s feud—and Aleen asks the hard hitting q: Is it actually research or is Sami just reading an 8th grader’s blog? WATCH THIS 'Emily in Paris' ![]() Image: CAROLE BETHUEL/NETFLIX I know, I know. It's kind of terrible, but in a fun way? Maybe? I'm just saying, I hate-watched the entire thing. Emily is back in Paris (I hope you rhymed that in your head) for season 2, and who knows what lovable hijinks she'll get herself into? Mixing up the French words for drink and fish at a restaurant, and inadvertently ordering an entire fish instead of a Coke? Oh wait, that was Passport to Paris. A chance meeting with Joe Goldberg? You never know. MAKE THIS Peppermint White Chocolate Mocha ![]() Image: Pennsylvania Dutch It's the last drink recipe of the year, so let's go out in a nice, indulgent way with a peppermint white chocolate mocha cocktail. This drink is so boozy that I'm honestly a little scared. Whatever, we deserve it after the year it's been.
Ingredients:
How TF To Make It:
First up, mix everything together. Now, you could serve this over ice, but where's the fun in that? What you're going to want to do is let this all simmer in a pot on the stovetop until it's warm. Top with whipped cream and crushed candy cane for maximum festiveness. Cheers to 2022! BUY THIS ![]() Feelin' 2022 Crew IDK about you, but I'm not about to declare this "my year" or anything. But still, I'm feeling it.
